Marry is facing charges of fraud, money laundering, externalisation and attempted murder. She is currently out on bail.
She has denied the charges arguing that they were levelled against her to force her hand in the divorce case with her husband.
She was arrested in December last year.

Deputy Chief Justice Elizabeth Gwaunza yesterday criticized the police and other law enforcement agents for what she termed “knee-jerk” arrests” because they undermined the confidence of the people in the justice system.
“Knee-jerk arrests only serve to frustrate the ends of justice,” she said. “The public will consequently feel let down by the system and such a scenario lends credence to the notorious accusations of catch and release.”
