Chamisa tells Zimbabwe: relax and rejoice- the truth shall set us free

Movement for Democratic Change Alliance leader Nelson Chamisa today urged Zimbabwe to relax and rejoice because the truth is going to set them free.

He also reiterated that Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front leader Emmerson Mnangagwa did not win even 5 percent of the vote but was given 50.8 percent.

Yesterday he said Mnangagwa does not have authentic votes above one million.

Five percent of about 4.8 million presidential votes cast translates to about 240 000 votes.

Mnangagwa was declared the winner of the 30 July elections but Chamisa has rejected the results and challenged them in court.

The hearing is on Wednesday, 22 August.

Chamisa tweeted this evening: “RELAX & REJOICE ZIMBABWE..In these times and days ahead, let’s take our time in prayer, fasting & action. It  is well. The truth shall set us free. #Godisinit.”

One of his followers responded: “Thank you so much President..I just want to appreciate you for the efforts yu have made to defend our vote our right and our choice as you promised us at our final rally in Harare..you said I will protect your vote to the last and we are grateful  President thank u so much chisa.”

But JerryM tweeted: “President for sure the truth wil set you free ko makazotii ne hanzvadzi yamakati munopa ED akawana 10%? How Far Shely?” to which Chamisa responded: “He didn’t get even 5%.He was given 50.8%.”
