Chamisa, Malema to attend Mugabe’s funeral service tomorrow

Movement for Democratic Change leader Nelson Chamisa and Economic Freedom Fighters leader Julius Malema will attend former President Robert Mugabe’s funeral service at the National Sports Stadium tomorrow.

This will probably be the first time Chamisa will attend a function hosted by Zimbabwe President Emmerson Mnangagwa since last year’s election which he claims to have won but lost the court challenge.

Eleven Heads of State and eight former presidents have so far indicated that they will be attending the funeral and will be hosted in the VVIP tent.

Malema, Chamisa, MDC-T leader Thokozani Khupe, National Constitutional Assembly leader Lovemore Madhuku and National People’s Party leader Joice Mujuru will be in the VIP tent together with Zimbabwe African National Union-Patriotic Front chairman Oppah Muchinguri-Kashiri, Speaker of the National Assembly Jacob Mudenda, President of the Senate Mabel Chinomona, Chief Justice Luke Malaba and members of the bereaved family, according to sitting arrangements published by the Ministry of Information.

Mugabe died in Singapore on 6 September and was declared a national hero.
