Zimbabwe today failed to get clearance to sell its diamonds from Marange on the open market. The Kimberley Process Certification Scheme which was meeting in Jerusalem ended without a compromise. Industry experts had predicted a standstill because the working group had not submitted any recommendations for the plenary session. One report said some members of the KPCS had been sent the wrong draft documents.
