Bulawayo now has almost half the active coronavirus cases in Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe’s second largest city Bulawayo now has almost half the active coronavirus cases in the country with 83 out of 175.

Only a week ago it had 6% of the cases but this was reversed when a whopping 1 114 people recovered in Harare in one day.

Harare is now down to 22 active cases after another 14 people recovered yesterday.

There were 20 new cases across the country, 13 of them in Bulawayo.

Zimbabwe now has a total of 8 075 cases to date.

Some 29 people recovered yesterday bringing the total to 7 669.

All the other provinces have less than 22 active cases.

The number of cases across the globe is fast approaching 40 million. There are 1.1 million deaths, 29.4 million recoveries and 8.7 million active cases.

South Africa could clock 700 000 cases anytime. Some 18 309 people have died and it still has 51 574 active cases.
