Bulawayo making slow but steady progress in coronavirus recovery

Zimbabwe’s second city, Bulawayo, which currently has the highest number of active coronavirus cases in the country, is making steady progress with the number of active cases continuing to drop though slowly because of new cases also coming up.

It now has 105 active cases with Harare having 63. Zimbabwe today had 236 cases after 20 people recovered but there were 13 new cases and no deaths.

Cases to date are now at 8 362 while there have been 7 881 recoveries and 242 deaths.

There are now 45.7 million cases across the globe, which include 1.19 million deaths, 33.1 million recoveries and 11.4 million active cases.

At the current rate of new cases, Britain could surpass one million cases tomorrow becoming the ninth country to have more than a million cases.

The United States, already above 9 million, could surpass 10 million by the end of next month.
