Britain is paying 1 480 pensioners who are living in Zimbabwe, the Parliamentary Under Secretary of State for Work and Pensions, Lord Freud said yesterday.
Zimbabwe had the third highest number of British pensioners in Africa after South Africa which had 38 400 and Nigeria with 3 360.
The figures were as of May 2011.
