Bishop Mutendi calls for peace, says women should spearhead the initiative

He said that history has shown that true transformation does not come from division, but from unity.

“A single bracelet does not jingle. We need each other. The farmer needs the rain, and the rain needs the earth. A nation is built not by one voice, but by many; speaking in harmony, forging solutions, and working towards a common destiny.

“When the right hand washes the left, both become clean. Zimbabwe will not rise because one side was louder than the other. It will rise because, in the end, we chose to build and build together.”

Bishop Mutendi said that women should be the torch bearers because they are the peacemakers.

“When women step into their divine roles, they become agents of peace, healing, and divine intervention,” he said.

“Where women are involved in peace negotiations, conflicts are more likely to end; and stay ended.

“Where women lead in government, nations experience greater stability.

“Where women drive economic policies, poverty declines and communities flourish.”

Emphasising the importance of peace, Bishop Mutendi said:

“Without peace, victory is incomplete.

“Without peace, power can be dangerous.

“Without peace, Easter is just another event in history.”

Bishop Mutendi is preparing the biggest Easter conference ever at the church’s administrative headquarters at Mbungo starting from next week.

It kicks off with a Sunday School conference on 12 April and ends with Easter Sunday on 20 April.
