Zimbabwe’s Parliament today voted unanimously for the new draft constitution that will pave the way for fresh elections. All 156 legislators present verbally voted “yes”. Passing the constitution required a two-thirds majority which is 140 members. The draft now goes to the 90-member Senate for debate and a final vote on Tuesday.
