Another Indian company Bharti Airtel was today reported to be interested in taking up a stake in the government-owned mobile telephone operator, NetOne. Airtel entered the African telecom market last year with its $9 billion acquisition of Zain’s operations. MNTL, an Indian government telephone operator, has also expressed interest in NetOne.
