Active coronavirus cases in Zimbabwe rise again

The number of active coronavirus cases in Zimbabwe rose again today to 1 609 after the country recorded 29 new cases but only 15 recoveries.

There are now 7 508 cases and 5 675 recoveries.

Deaths remained at 224.

Harare has 1 049 cases followed by Matebeleland South with 181. Mashonaland West has 144 and Bulawayo 103.

Globally there are now 28.9 million cases including 922 700 deaths. Some 20.7 million people have recovered but there are still 7.2 million active cases.

Africa has only 233 300 active cases.
