65 recover in Manicaland as active cases drop to 48

Sixty-five people from Manicaland recovered from coronavirus today leaving only 48 active cases in the province.

There were 59 new cases, 39 of them in Bulawayo, and one death.

Zimbabwe has so far coded 1 509 deaths, 36 611 cases and 34 226 recoveries.

The number of active cases has dropped to 876 with Harare at 442, Matebeleland North 203 and Bulawayo now at 84.

More than 40 000 people have now been vaccinated with Vice-President Constantino Chiwenga receiving his second jab.

Zimbabwe currently has enough vaccines for 300 000 people.
