Some 636 people recovered from coronavirus today as the country prepares to roll out its vaccination programme in Harare tomorrow.
Four people died and there were 108 new cases bringing the death toll to 1 418 and the number of cases so far to 35 423.
A total of 31 615 people have recovered.
There are now 2 390 active cases with Harare recoding the highest number of recoveries today at 451.
The capital now has 845 active cases. Manicaland seems to be having very few recoveries and still has 574 active cases followed by Mashonaland West with 301 and Bulawayo with 195.
The recovery rate has now risen to 89.2% but the seven-day rolling average for new cases went up from 76 to 80.
The Ministry of Health today said vaccination will kick off tomorrow at Wilkins Hospital in Harare.
It said that although vaccination was voluntary I was encouraging all priority populations to take up the vaccine.
Frontline workers being given priority are health workers, village health workers, ports of entry ZIMRA personnel, immigration and security health workers.
The United States which continues to be the worst hit country today surpassed half a million deaths.
