631 recover from coronavirus in Zimbabwe but there are 820 new cases ad 21 deaths

Some 631 coronavirus patients recovered in Zimbabwe today but the country recoded 820 new cases and 21 deaths, 12 of them in the capital Harare.

Harare also accounted for 525 recoveries and had 385 new cases resulting in the number of active cases dropping to 3 862.

Zimbabwe has now reported 22 297 cases and 13 213 recoveries. It still has 8 556 active cases.

Manicaland has the second highest number of active cases with 793, followed by Mashonaland East with 748 and Bulawayo with 667.

165 people have died so far this month and there were 8 430 new cases.

The government today said all people that die of coronavirus have to be buried where they die.

“For those who want to transport the body for burial outside the city or town of death, they should ensure that the body is hermetically sealed in a triple coffin before collection of body from funeral parlour or hospital mortuary,” the government said.

Globally, the number of cases has risen to 91 million. There are 1.95 million deaths, 65 million recoveries and 24 million active cases.

The United States should surpass 23 million cases before the end of day today.
