6 die, 307 recover from coronavirus in Zimbabwe

Six people died of coronavirus in Zimbabwe yesterday raising the total to 128 while 307 recovered but there were 97 new cases.

The country now has 4 990 cases of whom 1 927 have recovered but there are still 2 935 active cases.

Bulawayo seems to be turning the corner as 735 out of 1 161 cases have recovered.  Twenty-four people have died and there are now 382 active cases.

Only 76 people in Harare have recovered, 71 have died and there are still 1 765 active cases making a total of 1 912.

The death toll in Manicaland seems to be high as 13 of the 284 cases have died and 57 have recovered leaving 214 active cases.

There are now 21.1 million cases across the globe.

These include 757 400 deaths, 13.9 million recoveries and 6.4 million active cases.

South Africa has 572 865 cases and 11 270 cases. But the number of active cases has dropped to 123 978.
