4 more Zimbabweans die of coronavirus but active cases continue to drop

Four more Zimbabweans died of coronavirus today, down from five yesterday, but the number of active cases continued to drop with those in Bulawayo, the country’s second largest city, dropping to  54.

There were 33 new cases and 84 recoveries raising the total of cases to 36 143 and that of recoveries to 32 989.

Deaths are now at 1 472.

There are 117 in hospital. Five are severe cases and four are in intensive care.

Harare has 727 active cases, Manicaland 557 and Matebeleland North 180.

Some 25 077 people are said to have been vaccinated but the number of those vaccinated today and yesterday’s total do not add up.
