10 die of coronavirus in Zimbabwe as cases surpass 4 000

Ten people died of coronavirus in Zimbabwe today raising the death toll to 80.

The country recorded 154 new cases bringing the total to 4 075.

Forty-one people, 27 of them from Manicaland, recovered from the virus bringing the total to 1 057 but there are still 2 938 active cases.

Zimbabwe had only seven deaths and 591 cases up to the end of June.

It had 2 578 cases in July alone and 60 deaths.

It has recorded 13 deaths and 906 cases in the first three days of this month.
