The Zimbabwe Broadcasting Corporation has amended its US$58 million lawsuit against former board chairman Cuthbert Dube and five top managers. It has applied to have the Ministry of Information removed as the second applicant and former general manager for news and current affairs Tazzen Mandizvidza to be removed from the list of co-defendants. Mandizvidza is reported to have reached an out of court settlement with the ZBC and will testify against the other managers. “On the basis of the out of court settlement and negotiations between Mr Tazzen Mandizvidza and ZBC, we instruct you to remove Mr Mandizvidza from the list of defendants. Mr Mandizvidza has opted to co-operate with the ZBC in the prosecution of Muchechetere and others,” ZBC board chairman Father Gibson Munyoro said.
